Ars Technica: The bankrupt Canadian telecom giant Nortel is exiting the remains of its mobile WiMax hardware division, turning over the keys to Alvarion, a firm with long roots in fixed and mobile broadband wireless. Nortel filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in mid-January, and is expected to be sell off pieces and break up its existing business as part of restructuring.
